Sartre says in his famous phrase "L'enfer, c'est les autres" meaning "Hell is other people". Man reproduces himself with the other. This is an obligation. This threat is attributed to many memory traces hidden deep within us and becomes even more effective with the gaze.
Brutal series focuses on this layered effect of the human attribute, the solid and artificiality of the concrete one, and the moment when it penetrates the contours of the human face. Here, portraits with geometric oil forms are included in the mercansal and cultural space.
"He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster.
And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you".
- Friedrich Nietzsche
